Wow!

I cannot believe how quickly this summer has gone! Shawn has been working a night shift for a couple of weeks, so I thought this would be a good time to catch up. Kailey has finally finished her summer social calender! She arrived home last Sunday after a week at camp. I am so amazed at my kids and how they have grown....Dalton is such a man, he looks like he should be in high school and his sense of humor! I never stand a chance between Shawn and him :) Kailey is just my little free spirit. While she was away at camp, I decided to clean out her school backpack and found her writing journal. Under the topic "Where I want to be in 25 years" she had carefully planned her life as a rock star living in a big glass house, surrounded by paparazzi! That's my girl! I realized that last year at only 8 years old, she had gone away to camp, without knowing anyone and LOVED it. I would have never been so brave.

The end of this summer also brings some big changes to our family. After almost 5 years at my current job, I have decided to leave for a position with a national insurance company. My current job had always allowed plenty of flexibility when it came to my schedule and the kids have really relied heavily on that...Mom can always be there. The new job has a tight schedule but too many benefits to turn down. I will miss many of the people that have enriched my life in so many ways. Anyone who has worked in an office with mainly women knows the drama that can arise. But you should also know of the support it can bring too. I have found the sister God forgot to give me and a few surrogate mothers. Even some of the patients will be missed, from the sweet old lady, who after 5 years still gets my name wrong, to the fella who always wants a million dollars and a date with one of us:) Never one to like change, I am surprised at how excited I am at the possibilities ahead.

On a final note before I go crash. In a previous post I asked for everyone to pray for Chloe Newman, a 7 year old who was fighting leukemia and her family....sadly Chloe recieved her angel wings about a month ago. Please continue to pray for her family...they continue to amaze me everyday in their faith and strength. Christy, if your reading this....I love our "chats" and always feel so positive after them. I have learned so much from some of the families on the Caringbridge site...one that I will always keep close to me is "I get to..."not "I have to..." We are all so blessed!

Much Love!
Sarah
