Not so happy Mother's Day

I am sad to say that this year's Mother's Day was the worst ever. Our oldest dog Rocky had been treated by the vet for a pulled muscle in his neck, after about a week he woke up sneezing his head off all night~I mean non stop. We took him to the vet that day because he wasn't acting right. That was Thursday and the vet wanted to keep him for a couple days with an IV and medications, we all just thought he had an allergic reaction to something. Sat. we went fo a visit and he seemed a little better, she thought he'd be home on Monday. On Sunday, Mother's Day, we recievd a phone call that he was not doing well and had developed blood in his chest cavity and had trouble breathing. Within 15 min the vet called back to let us know he was gone. We honestly never expected it and we all are still taking it very hard. If your not a "dog person" you could never understand the feelings. Our dogs are just like our family~they are my children. As much as we would like a new puppy, it's still too soon. Molly has changed her habits now that she is alone. She barks alot more and Rocky had a habit of not letting people leave the house~he would grab your pant leg and bark, growl~she never did this before, and now I notice her doing this also. You never realize how much they really take care of us, not the other way around.
