The new job...

I thought I would take a quick second to let everyone know how my new job is going....I LOVE it!! I can't remember if I said where I was working~Humana Military, we handle the Tricare benefits for the South region. I'm in the benefits department, so basically I take phone calls all day. Right now we are in the third week of training but I really do like it, plus the benefits are so good even if the job stunk~it would be worth it. My other job was right down the street from our house and now I drive Downtown (Louisville), but again it just isn't that bad. AND my building is right next to where the Arena is being built for UofL basketball! I'm so happy things are falling into place.

The funny thing is I'm still working at my old job on the weekends...there are two reasons for this (we all know I am NOT a workaholic). The first of which...Shawn's company wanted to send him to Bloomington for about 6 weeks~with no reimbursement for travel, a room, anything. It would be six, twelve hour days, so not much time to come home. It fell right at my job starting, Kailey's birthday, school starting, and his cousin's wedding(who is like his little sister). He asked if he could have time off for the wedding and was told no. Needless to say he has not been working for a few weeks...he still has the job, just waiting for them to put him on a new site. This has actually worked out well, except for the money part. He has had a chance to spend more time with the kids and I think both sides are really enjoying it! With my new job I cannot miss any time for the first 90 days, so I have been handing down some of my house/kiddo duties to my hubby for now...I won't lie, I kinda like it! If we could afford it, I would definitely like this arrangement! The second reason is they really never found a replacement for me~like I could ever be replaced :) So, they really need the extra help...it works out for both sides and I will probably try to keep it up even when Shawn heads back to work. Well, that's about it in a nutshell! I guess I need to get off here and get ready to head out for that other job!

Much love,
Sarah
